Frequently asked questions.

1. What is Clinical Pilates?

Clinical Pilates is a personalised, evidence-based form of Pilates that focuses on safe and effective movement. It’s often used for rehabilitation, posture correction, injury prevention, and improving core strength. Each program is tailored to your body, ensuring every exercise supports your specific health and fitness goals.

2. What’s the difference between Clinical Pilates and regular Pilates?

While traditional Pilates classes follow a set sequence, Clinical Pilates sessions are tailored to your individual needs and often guided by an instructor trained in anatomy and rehabilitation. It’s ideal for those recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, or seeking one-on-one attention to improve strength and mobility.

3. Who can benefit from Clinical Pilates?

Anyone can benefit from Clinical Pilates! It’s suitable for all ages, fitness levels, and abilities. Whether you’re recovering from surgery, experiencing back or joint pain, pre- or post-natal, or simply looking to improve flexibility, posture, and balance, Clinical Pilates can help you move with greater ease and confidence.

4. How many sessions will I need to see results?

Most clients notice positive changes in their strength, posture, and movement within 5–10 sessions. Consistency is key — combining regular Pilates with everyday movement awareness helps you build lasting results and reduce pain long term.

5. Do I need a referral to start Clinical Pilates?

No referral is needed to start Clinical Pilates. However, if you’re recovering from injury or surgery, your physiotherapist or doctor may recommend it as part of your rehabilitation program. Our instructors are qualified to work alongside healthcare professionals to support your recovery safely.

6. What should I wear and bring to my session?

Wear comfortable, form-fitting activewear that allows you to move freely. Socks with grip are recommended for Reformer Pilates. Bring a towel and water bottle — all other equipment will be provided for you.

7. Can Clinical Pilates help with back pain or injury recovery?

Yes. Clinical Pilates is one of the most effective methods for managing lower back pain, improving posture, and rebuilding strength after injury. Sessions focus on stabilising deep core muscles and retraining movement patterns to support your spine and joints safely.

8. What’s the difference between private, semi-private, and group classes?

Private (1:1) sessions offer the most personalised approach and are ideal for specific goals or rehab.

Semi-private (2:1) classes blend individual guidance with the motivation of a shared session.

Group classes provide a dynamic, social workout with consistent instructor support.

9. How do I book a Pilates session?

You can easily book online through our scheduling system. Choose your preferred instructor, class type, and time, then pay securely online. Bookings can also be managed through our mobile app for convenience.
